Over 40 tournament is Jan 14-15

A 3-game series featuring some of the Maui Adult Baseball League’s top players aged 40 and over will be held January 14 and 15 at Eddie Tam Park in Makawao and Kalama Park in Kihei, respectively.

The series, which is partially sponsored by Kevin Spaise/Keller Williams Realty, will include a Food Drive benefiting the Maui Food Bank. Players, fans, and spectators are encouraged to drop off a donation to support this effort. Suggested donations include canned meat and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals and soups with proteins, and cereal, rice, and pasta. Monetary donations may be made through the league’s Venmo account (@mauiadultbaseball, with reference to the “Over 40 Food Drive”).

The teams of this series will be managed by a pair of original members of the Maui Adult Baseball League, Kevin Spaise and Rich Doster. Kevin and Rich are two of only five remaining active players from the league’s inaugural game played on July 19, 2009. Rosters for the tournament are shown below. Be sure to come out and support your favorite 40 and over baseball players and donate to the Maui Food Bank in what is sure to be an action-packed weekend!
