Matt Newsome of the Lahaina Warriors was voted the MABL Player of the Month for October 2019 after receiving 44% of the 123 votes cast in the online ballot, with Enmanuel Yajure as the runner-up with 18% of the votes. The Warriors’ third baseman hit .563 during the month of October, with 9 hits (2 for extra-bases), 4 runs scored, and a .650 on-base percentage.
In recognition of his achievement Newsome will receive an MABL t-shirt. The October 2019 Player of the Month award is presented by Down the Hatch, located in the open-air courtyard of The Wharf in Lahaina, across from the Banyan Tree.
