The 29th season of Maui Adult Baseball League action came to a close on Sunday as the Makai team, comprised of All-Stars from the Kihei Centipedes, Makena Royals, Lahaina Warriors, and Nahiku Gorillas, scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to pick up the walk-off win. Fresh off a Centipedes Championship win the prior week, Callen Beeson delivered the game winning RBI single.
The Spring 2023 MABL HR Derby followed the All-Star Game. On a day when the wind made long balls tough to come by, Beeson hit a total of three home runs to edge out Matthew Palmer of the Upcountry Dirtbags and Pedes’ teammate Anthony Valeriano to take home the HR Derby Champions belt. In addition, Beeson will receive a custom Trinity Bat Company bat built to his specifications.
