The Player of the Month candidates for the month of March are listed below. Candidates were selected based on their performances during the 5th through 7th weeks of the season, as heavy rain washed out the games scheduled for the final week of the month. Once again, voting is open to players, fans, and family, and is limited to 1 vote per individual.
Fausto Allosada of the Upcountry Dirtbags followed up his impressive February with two complete game victories during March. For the month, Fausto was 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP, striking out 11 over 18 IP against the Rays and Hurricanes.
The West Maui Brewers’ Enmanuel Yajure-Pena got it done at the plate and on the mound this month. Enmanuel hit .462 (6 for 13) with 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs while going 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA and 0.78 WHIP, and 7 Ks in 9 IP.
Randy Button of the Kihei Centipedes made the most of his lone appearance during March, going the distance to beat the Royals on March 11. Randy allowed 0 earned runs on only 2 hits, 0 walks, and 9 Ks over 9 innings.
Jeremy Loque of the Central Rays lead the league in runs batted in (6) during March. Jeremy batted .400 (4 for 10) and was also tied for the league lead with 2 doubles.
The La Perouse Pirates’ Austin Beesley was tied for the league lead with 5 runs scored this month. During March, Austin hit .417 (5-12) with 2 doubles of his own.
