The first round playoff match-ups are now set for November 11 at Maui High.
The La Perouse Pirates (8-5) enter the playoffs as the 3rd seed after winning 5 of their last 6 games down the stretch. They will host the Makena Royals (5-8), who finished the season as the 6th seed, at 10am. The Pirates beat the Royals 13-1 on September 9 in the lone match-up played between the teams this season.
The defending champion Kihei Centipedes (7-7), who finished the season as the 4th seed, will host the 5th seeded Upcountry Dirtbags (6-7) at 1:15pm. The ‘Pedes swept the season series, winning 4-3 on September 5 and 13-6 on October 21.
The winners of these match-ups will advance to the second round of the playoffs, featuring two best-of-three game series starting the following Sunday, November 18. The 1st seed West Maui Brewers (12-2) will host the lowest seed that advances, with the 2nd seed Central Rays (11-3) facing the higher remaining seed. This round will conclude the following weekend, with potential doubleheaders on November 25.
