The Summer 2023 Maui Adult Baseball League Championship Series will begin this Sunday, December 3 at Eddie Tam Park in Makawao with the Kihei Centipedes battling the Upcountry Dirtbags for the MABL Champions trophy. The Centipedes swept the West Maui Brewers 2-0 in the 2nd round of the MABL Playoffs with a pair of mercy-rule victories to advance to their 3rd consecutive Championship Series appearance, while the Dirtbags won a pair of 1-run games over the La Perouse Pirates to return to the Championship Series for the second time in as many seasons.
The ‘Pedes won their 2nd MABL Championship last season–over the Dirtbags–now they will attempt to defend their title and earn Championship number 3. The Dirtbags have won 5 MABL titles, but they are looking to end their 6 year drought as they haven’t won it all since the Summer 2017 season.
Game 1 of the best-of-three game series will start at 10am Sunday morning, with the series set to conclude the following Sunday at Eddie Tam Park. It is expected that the games will be streamed online via YouTube, with scores, stats, and photos posted on our website following the games.
