Expanding on last year’s Over 40 Tournament, the Maui Adult Baseball League and Kevin Spaise/Keller Williams Realty will be hosting a three-team tournament this weekend at Eddie Tam Park in Makawao. In addition to a pair of teams made up of some of Maui’s top 40 and over ballplayers, a team representing the Honolulu Baseball League will be competing for the tournament Championship trophy. This marks the first time the MABL has hosted an off-island team, and is a continuation of the growing relationship between the two leagues.
The tournament will include a Food Drive benefiting the Maui Food Bank. Players, fans, and spectators are encouraged to drop off a donation to support this effort. Suggested donations include canned meat and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meals and soups with proteins, and cereal, rice, and pasta. Monetary donations may be made through the league’s Venmo account (@mauiadultbaseball, with reference to the “Over 40 Food Drive”).
Be sure to come out to Makawao to support your favorite 40 and over baseball players, donate to the Maui Food Bank, and show the squad from Oahu some aloha this weekend. Rosters for each team are shown below!
