The opening weekend of the Maui Adult Baseball League’s Summer 2022 playoffs featured a pair of upsets as the West Maui Brewers (#6 seed) topped the Upcountry Dirtbags (#3 seed) by a final of 11-7, and the La Perouse Pirates (#5 seed) cruised to a 11-1 win over the Lahaina Warriors (#5 seed).
The Brewers will now face the Makena Royals (#1 seed) in a best-of-three series, while the Pirates will take on the Kihei Centipedes (#2 seed) with both series starting on November 20 at Eddie Tam Park in Makawao.
