Spring 2026 awards announced

The Spring 2026 Maui Adult Baseball League end-of-season award winners are given below. Award winners were selected by player votes submitted online.


Damian Polinsky earned MVP honors and the league batting title after posting a .541 average (20 for 37) over 12 games for the Lahaina Warriors. Polinsky’s 26 total bases, .605 on-base percentage, and 1.308 OPS were all league-bests as well. The Kihei Centipedes’ Kanale Kahalekai finished second in MVP voting.

The West Maui Brewers’ Mitchell Senger dominated on the mound during his first full season of MABL action, going 8-1 with a league-best 1.63 ERA and 0.87 WHIP with 95 Ks over 49.2 regular season innings. Those numbers were good for a 17.19 K/9 rate, the best such mark in league history. Senger earned Cy Young and Rookie of the Year honors by significant margins. Kale Kaalekahi of the Makena Sharks was runner up in the ROY voting.

Jerami Rother of the Nahiku Gorillas was voted Manager of the Year award after leading his squad to their first playoff win in franchise history. Mike Abercrombie of the Brewers finished as the runner-up in MOY voting.

Riley Beeson was awarded the Gold Glove award for his defensive performance behind the dish for the Centipedes. PJ Rochon of the Brewers finished as runner up in Gold Glove voting.

The Upcountry Dirtbags’ Nikita Popov earned Most Improved Player honors after hitting .316 (6 for 19) in his 19th season Nikita edged out Damian Polinsky to win this award.

And for the second time in his illustrious MABL career, the Brewers’ Timothy Lyons was recognized by members of the league as this season’s Ken Talbot award recipient. Honoring the memory of one of the league’s past players, this award is given to the member of the MABL who best exemplifies the qualities of sportsmanship, community involvement, and positive contributions towards others, on and off the field.
