Vote for March POTM

The first two months of the Maui Adult Baseball League’s Spring 2025 season are in the books, with 4 weeks left to go before the playoffs get underway! During March, MABL games moved to Maehara Stadium, including weeknight games under the lights. Some of the league’s top performers of the past month are listed below, as candidates for the March 2025 MABL Player of the Month poll.

The Player of the Month award for March 2025 is presented by Choke Fishing Supplies, conveniently located next to Longs on South Kihei Road. Ryan Groth was locked in for the Kaanapali Coast Monarchs in March. Over 6 games last month, the former pro hit .471 (8 for 17) with 5 RBIs and 4 doubles (tops in the league).

Davin Lewis continued his impressive rookie campaign for the Kihei Centipedes, hitting .500 (7 for 14) with 3 walks and 3 RBIs over 5 games in March. On the season, the Baldwin alum is second in the MABL with a .517 average (15 for 29) with 3 games left to play.

The West Maui Brewers’ Josué Ríos got it done at the plate and on the mound for the Brew Crew in March. Josué hit .429 (9 for 21) with 3 doubles, 5 stolen bases, and 5 RBIs over 6 games. On the bump, the youngest hermano Ríos went 1-0 with 11 strikeouts, a 0.74 ERA, and a league-best 0.24 WHIP over 12.2 innings.

The Lahaina Warriors’ Wes Troyan led the league in runs scored (11), stolen bases (10), and walks (7) despite appearing in only 4 March contests. Wes hit .444 (4 for 9) with a .706 OBP over that span.

Ekolu Watanabe is nominated for the second consecutive POTM poll after hitting .412 (7 for 17) with a pair of triples, 7 runs scored, and 3 stolen bases over 5 games for the Nahiku Gorillas in March.
