
The 34th season of Maui Adult Baseball League action came to a close on Sunday as the Mauka All-Star team pulled off a 7-6 win over the Makai All-Star team at Eddie Tam Memorial Park in Makawao.
Following the All-Star Game, 10 of the league’s top power hitters battled for the chance to claim the MABL HR Derby Champion Belt. In total, 5 different hitters went deep, with a total of 35 home runs hit throughout the Derby. In the final round, the Upcountry Dirtbags’ Matt Palmer hit 7 longballs to edge out Tigers’ rookie Anthony Pilz (5 home runs) to take home the title for the Summer 2025 season.
In addition to the going home with the Champion Belt, Palmer will receive a custom wood bat for his performance! Full derby results are listed below.
