Austin Beesley of the La Perouse Pirates was named the September 2018 Maui Adult Baseball League Player of the Month, receiving 33% of the record 99 votes cast online. Ty Roberts of the West Maui Brewers (29%) finished a close second in this month’s poll. During the month of September, Beesley lead the Pirates resurgence by hitting .476 with 8 RBIs over 6 games. Over this span, he lead the league with 6 BBs and 8 stolen bases, and was second with 10 hits and 8 runs scored.
In recognition of his achievement Beesley will receive an MABL t-shirt. The August 2018 Player of the Month award is presented by Betty’s Beach Cafe, located at 505 Front Street in Lahaina.
