Proposed change to rule 11.11: A team with eight (8) players shall leave the ninth batting position vacant and receive an out each time this spot comes up.

This would have no affect on a team’s ability to pick up “pool players” in order to field a full, 9 player lineup. This change is meant to close a loophole in the current rules for a team that chooses not to add a 9th player for a game in which they are short.
