Twenty-five MABL representatives spanning 6 teams worked volunteer shifts at the Maui Invitational NCAA basketball tournament earlier this week. The tournament featured 8 of the county’s top college basketball programs, with the University of Auburn defeating Memphis University 90-76 in the title game Wednesday, Nov 27.
Thanks to all the players, friends, and significant others who helped represent the MABL strongly. Special thanks to long time tournament volunteers John and Jackie Lautenschlager, as well as Whitney Sommers, who graciously donated the hours from the combined 18 shifts they worked to the MABL’s total. The league raised approximately $4500 for their efforts, to go towards registration and league expenses during the 2025 seasons.
