The Upcountry Dirtbags’ Josh Meier became the first MABL player with 300 career hits after going 3 for 4 in the Dirtbags’ win over the Rays on September 20. Meier has played primarily for the Dirtbags over his 24 seasons in the league, winning 5 MABL titles and hitting .318 over 264 games. Meier also owns the league’s longest hitting streak, hitting safely in 24 games from August 6, 2009 to August 22, 2010.
In other league news, only 4 games separate the league’s top and bottom records with 5 games left to play in the regular season. All 8 teams are very much alive in a race that is sure to go down to the wire.
The Centipedes’ Anthony Valeriano has shared some photos from his team’s games this season. Check them out here and be sure to contact the league if you have any photos of MABL action to share.
Congratulations Josh! Way to go buddy!
